DAY 1

This was the last time we ate here as we were flying to Bangkok in a few hours.

We returned the rental car with a full tank to the rental company at the airport.

A short wait was required before boarding.

Bye-bye, Chiang Mai.

The in-flight snack was the same as the previous trip.

Arrived in Bangkok after an hour’s flight.

We went straight to the Hertz counter to collect our rental car.

As always, we did a walk-around of the car and marked all dents and scratches with the staff.

We were given a free upgrade from HRV to CRV.

This model is bigger. It fits our luggage nicely and is more comfortable.

The drive to our Khao Yai hotel was 3 hours. We stopped at 7-11 for a short break.

When we arrived at the Resort Hotel, it was already nighttime.

The room was big and spacious.

The whole Resort was lit up brightly.

It was almost 8 pm, luckily, the resort’s restaurant was still open.

We ordered chicken wings and various types of Fried Rice for dinner. It was delicious as we were all hungry after the long drive.

We called it a night after dinner.

DAY 2

The Resort looked very different in the morning.

We went back to the Resort restaurant for breakfast.

The first destination was a vineyard across our Resort.

Many grapes were growing on the vine.

Our next destination was the Leaning Tower of Piza located within Toscana Piazza.

Let’s hug it.

The whole Resort was an Italian Theme.

Flower Park Khao Yai was next.

120 baht for each adult was required.

The whole park was in Hokkaido flower park theme.

This expansive park is adorned with meticulously landscaped gardens showcasing a stunning array of flowers and plants, creating a kaleidoscope of colors and fragrances.

The rest area.

There was even a Torii gate here.

We headed to Saraburi Sunflower Field.

The sunflowers were only available from November to January period.

Props were available for photo shoots.

We were getting hungry by now. So we went to Krua Khao Yai Restaurant.

It’s quite popular and was crowded when we were there.

We had Fried Fish, vegetables, eggs, and soup. As it was quite hot too, we ordered a drink each.

After the meal, we went to the Chocolate Factory across the road from the restaurant.

Renowned for its artisanal chocolates, The Chocolate Factory produces a variety of delectable treats crafted from high-quality ingredients, including pralines, truffles, and chocolate bars. Visitors can watch the chocolate-making process through large glass windows, gaining insight into the artistry and craftsmanship involved.

The restaurant at The Chocolate Factory serves a diverse menu featuring both Thai and international dishes, with many items incorporating their signature chocolate in creative ways.

There was even an outdoor area.

Lam Takhong Dam Viewpoint was next.

Followed by the Khorat Geopark Windmill.

Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the geopark, the Khorat Geopark Windmill provides visitors with a unique opportunity to learn about wind energy and its role in reducing carbon footprints. The area around the windmill is designed to be educational and accessible, with informational displays that explain the mechanics of wind energy and its environmental benefits.

In addition to its educational aspects, the windmill and its surroundings offer scenic views of the geopark’s diverse landscapes, including rolling hills, rock formations, and ancient fossils.

By then, the sun was about to set.

Khao Yai Premium Outlet was the last destination we will be visiting today.

There were several familiar brands but the whole place was rather quiet.

It’s time for dinner. Lan+Lee+Lar was the chosen one.

There were several types of seating available.

The bear-shaped rice was served first.

It was followed by the must-have eggs.

Fried Vegetable.

Fried Seabass. I love this fried fish as the meats were separated from the bone. The papaya salah for the fish was also very tasty and appetizing.

And Seafood Tom Yam soup.

It was delicious.

We will return here to eat if we come back to Khao Yai again.

That’s all for our Khao Yai trip. We will be heading to Bangkok tomorrow.

So long Khao Yai!!!!!!!!
