This morning, we decided to try out some local Taiwanese breakfast.

Got ourselves some Chinese Pancake.

Taoyuan Airport

After which, we drove our rented car to the airport.

Taoyuan Airport

To return the car to the rental company. As we would be venturing within Taipei City for the next few days, we would not need a car to travel around.

Taoyuan Airport

Our main mode of transport will now be the Subway.

Taipei Main Station

From the airport, we took the airport express to Taipei Main Station.

Taipei Main Station

As it was a weekend, the atrium was fully crowded with people.

As it was still too early to check into the hotel, we had lunch at DimDimSum.

DimDimSum

As usual, the restaurant was fully packed and we had to wait for a while before our table was ready.

Our food came after a short wait. They were delicious.

Hanabiwach

As Taiwan is the heaven for Bubble Tea, we decided to try this stall.

Tango Inn

Time to check in.

Tango Inn

The room was more spacious than the one we stayed in 2 years ago.

But only a standing shower was available.

A map of the nearby attractions was printed on the wall.

Nanjing West Road

Instead of going to Ximendin, we decided to head to Nanjing West Road.

Nanjing West Road

The streets around here were much less crowded.

And the stalls and shops here catered more to the locals.

It’s a fresh change of environment.

A quick and simple dinner.

Raohe Night Market

And then to the Raohe Night Market.
