In the morning, we came to the hotel restaurant for breakfast.

The buffet breakfast range was wide and the food was good.

Our first destination for the day was Taiping Suspension Bridge (太平雲梯).

This is the site map of the area. The car park and Visitor Center are across the road.

An entrance fee of 100 NTD was required.

It was misty during our visit.

The bridge is Taiwan’s highest and, at 281 m long and roughly 1,000 m above sea level, was once the nation’s longest suspension bridge.

It spectacularly spans between Mount Taiping and Guishan, offering breathtaking panoramic views—from Chiayi’s cityscape and the iconic Meishan 36‑bends to the Chianan Plain and even the Taiwan Strait.

Views from the other end.

A short distance from the car park is the Taiping Old Street.

Not many people were here today.

These are fruits I had never seen before.

This is a popular library…

and a restaurant.

The next destination we went to was Rainbow Village (彩虹村). It’s a small village beautifully painted by various artists.

The place is popular with both locals and tourists.

Next, we went to the popular ice-cream place.

This is the menu.

I’m spoiled for choice.

They also have all these toppings.

and more…..

As a result, we bought this…

and this. The portion was big, and we had a hard time finishing it.

We then continued our journey to the Hub Hotel Taichung Wenxin. A reasonable-sized lobby.

They also have a reading cum pantry area where guests can come here to relax and have drinks and snacks provided.

The double-bedded room was comfortable and big.

It also has a huge bathroom. The only inconvenience was that they did not have their private parking area. We were required to park at a nearby paid car park.

We found on the internet that this restaurant Keng Tu Yuan Teahouse is very popular. So we decided to give it a try.

The interior was beautifully decorated.

The food was delicious and the price was reasonable.

While on our way to the Night Market, we found a long queue outside this shop. After checking, we realised that this is a very popular cookie house. So we decided to join the queue.

A group of 5-7 people was invited into the shop at each time.

A sample will be given to each to try. Then they would take your order and pack it.

A short distance away is the Feng Chia Night Market.

The market was crowded.

This is a brand of Flower Tea we don’t see often. So we decided to give it a try.
After which, we called it a night and returned to the hotel to rest.
