Today we will be heading to the eastern part of Tasmania. Bicheno Blow Hole and Wineglass Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After we clean and tidy up the Airbnb, we checked out The Tasmania Honey Company along the way. This shop is very popular for its Honey, especially its Leatherwood Honey. Most honey store in Tasmania has samples for you to try. We bought some as gifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A leisure drive took us about 2 hours. Bicheno is a quiet town with safe beaches, interesting coastlines, and walks. It’s known for its relaxed lifestyle, fresh seafood, and coastal view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blowhole is formed after the granite has been battered over thousand of years. As the seawater passes through the narrowed path, it shot up through the hole and formed the phenomenon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a parking space at the entrance. Do note that the surfaces are slippery in certain places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearby, reddish rocks resemble those you would see in the Bay of Fire, which is situated 90 minutes north of Bicheno. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By now, we are getting hungry, so we head for lunch at a place called Lobster Shack. This restaurant is famous for its seafood, especially its Lobster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was an enjoyable seafront meal. We ordered garlic Lobster, Calamari, and Fish with chips. One observation I have during my stay in Tasmania is that the Calamari is always big, fresh, tender, and juicy. Unlike those hard and stale types that you always get. You should try them too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the delicious meal, we took a short stroll around the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a 45 mins drive, we arrive at wineglass bay. There are several routes, from around 1 hour to 3 days. Most would choose to end at the wineglass bay lookout. Be sure to wear the correct walking shoes and clothing. There are slops along the way. In general, it’s a safe walk even with children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may encounter wildlife along the way. Do not get too close to them especially those with babies. It may turn hostile trying to protect its babies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is signage along the way. You must turn right here as this is a one-way circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is what we came for after a 45 mins walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It took us around 3 hours to reach Hobart City. We stopped by Kosaten Japanese Restaurant before we check-in to our Airbnb. The food came on a conveyor belt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a full belly, we unlocked ourselves into Snug Retreat Airbnb with the keycode given to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
