After a light breakfast of baked garlic bread and hot beverages, we moved out towards Cradle Mountain<\/a> which is situated west of Launceston. The journey took about 2 hours and 30 minutes non-stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After parking the car, we proceeded to the visitor center to exchange bus tickets with our printed Park pass which costs AUG82.40 per vehicle for 2 months duration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An individual park pass per person for Cradle Mountain including the Bus ride is AUD25.75. So it’s more worthwhile to get a Park Pass if you have a family of 4 to 8 people and plan to visit other parks too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be a total of 3 stops before it reached Dove Lake. This is the part most people would alight for tracking and photo taking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bus stop is just a short walk from the visitor center. The durations were frequent. We waited for only a short while when one of the buses came over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it was raining in Cradle Mountain. Although we were prepared for it, it still prevent us from walking too far into the tracks. We walked a short distance, took photos at the lake, and headed back to the bus stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do take note of the weather pattern in advance and dress appropriately. Don’t get caught not having enough warm clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are accommodations in Cradle Mountain too. For those who wish to go deep into the tracks, you can book a unit there to save you the trouble of having to run up and down the place. There are also restaurants there to cater to your meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the way back, we visited 2 Honey Factories and bought some honey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free tasting is allowed before you decide which type of honey you like best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We tried out the Honey ice cream which was good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Read many good reviews regarding this Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm so we decided to rush here for dinner, we reached before 4.30 pm but they were already cleaning up the place!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bought a few items to go and ate them on the way back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
