7 days before the departure, you will receive an email reminding you to perform a mandatory Online Web Check-In for all members going for the cruise.

The Online Check-In for the cruise will be available 72 hours prior to sailing and closes 24 hours before sailing. You must ensure correct contact details are inserted during Online Check-In as per the Singapore government’s requirements.

Select the language of your choice and fill in the required Name, reservation number and date of birth of the main member.

Verify that you are not a robot by filling in the characters shown.

Fill in for all members the required passport, home address, contact number and emergency contact details.

You will be notified when the web check-in is completed.

Please remember to do this so as to avoid unnecessary delays during embarkation.

Boarding Time

You will receive your assigned boarding time via your email 48 hours prior to your cruise. You should try to follow this timing as its purpose is to make checking-in more efficient and smooth.

What To Pack

Travel documents including Passport (with at least 6 months validity), NRIC/FIN, Cruise Ticket, or printed Voucher / E-Voucher.

Bring along some cash and credit cards. (Remember to activate your credit card/s for overseas usage. The currency and any conversion required used on board are Singapore Dollars (SGD) in most cases.

Personal items: change of clothes, pajamas, and personal hygiene items, comfortable shoes for walking and some outdoor activities, slippers for wet pool surfaces and within the cabin, swimsuit, swimming goggles, sun hat, sunscreen lotion & sunglasses.

Customs and Immigrations

Follow the instructions of the Cruise Center personnel, you will be directed to the baggage X-ray scanning section and then to the immigration stations.

Cabin Card

After which, one member is to register for the Cabin Cards at these stations. All members will be assigned a card each.

This is what your cabin card cum identification card looks like. You are required to bring this along with you everywhere you go on board and even on shore excursions. Most of your expenses will be recorded on this card and the payment is to be settled during disembarkation.

Proceed to the Cruise ship via the gangway. As you enter the ship, you are required to scan your cabin card to register your entry and pass the crew your passport for safekeeping. No worries, the passports will be returned to you during disembarkation.

Emergency Exit

As you head to your assigned cabin, look out for and take note of all the emergency exits available to you. Never use the lifts during any emergency. Take the stairs.

Resort World Cruise Membership Card

After you have stowed your luggage, head to the membership counter on either Deck 6 or 7 at the center of the ship. Collect a Q number and wait for it to be called.

There are three types of cards: Classic, Silver, and Gold. They are assigned according to your membership status.

You can top up or cash out the value inside this card in Singapore Dollars through various teller machines available throughout the ship. Points will be issued and accumulated when you use the card in the casino.

This card is different from the Genting Highland Membership Card that you may already have. Bring along the Genting Highland card and show it to them. They will issue you at least the same class on board.

Reception

If you need any assistance or have any questions, you can approach the Reception Counter on Deck 6 center of the ship. This counter is different from the Membership Counter. They will assist you with all onboard requirements. You are supposed to come here to settle all payments before disembarkation.

Information Board

To keep yourself up to date on all the daily events that are happening on board, you can either look it up on the Television inside your cabin or at the Touch Screen Information Board beside the lift lobbies. A directory of all the ship venues is also displayed here.

Pro-Tips – You can ask for 2nd or even 3rd helpings as long as you need it. But please do not waste food.

IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE WILL BE A $15 CHARGE IF YOU GO FOR A 2ND MEAL WITHIN THE SAME TIME SLOT. Ie. If you have eaten at the Chinese restaurant and decided to go to the Lido for the buffet shortly after, there will be a charge for the 2nd meal.

Snack Counter (Inclusive)

You must bring along your Cabin card and scan out of the ship. This acts as your passport on shore. Please do not lose your card. A return instruction will also be handed to you. Then you will need to walk a short distance to the Port Klang Cruise Terminal.

Booking a Grab transport will be the best choice over here. However, a bit of luck may be needed as the Crusie Terminal is a little way off from the City. There were instances where no Grab is available for more than 1 hour.

The next best choice would be the Taxi service. There is a Taxi counter at the side entrance and a long line of Taxis would already be there waiting for you. None of them will be using their meter on board.

Fear not, at least the prices are fixed for the popular places. If you are worried about the return trip, you could also reserve the return trip in advance. But remember to only pay for the completed trips. Do not pay for any trip in advance.

Pro-Tips – If you are just a couple, why not look up another couple who is going to the same place and share the cost?

After you are done with your shore shopping and meals, try to come back before the stipulated time. After you enter the Cruise Terminal Building, look out for the signs that direct you to the Immigration Counter.

The disembarkation is the same with Port Klang. Scan out using your Cabin Card. However, Swettenham Pier is near the City center, so there are more options for you to move around.

Besides using a Ride-Hailing Service like Grab, which is the most convenient and cheapest paid service, you could also use the free Hop-On Hop-Off City Shutter Bus (CAT) provided. These are the places the bus is stopping and the map around the city.

As you are near the Pier exit, you will be greeted by Penang’s warm and friendly taxi drivers ready and eager to serve you.
