How to Get to Nami Island
Here is our complete step-by-step guide on how to get to Nami Island from Seoul to help you plan for your trip.
Option 1
Public Transport – ITX Train
The most common mode used by people would be the ITX Train.
Start your journey by making your way to Cheongnyangni Station or Yongsan Station in Seoul. You can reach Cheongnyangni Station or Yongsan Station by taking the subway from your nearest station or a taxi, depending on your start location.
Once you arrive at Cheongnyangni Station or Yongsan Station, locate the ticketing area for the ITX trains. These trains operate on the Gyeongchun Line. Purchase a ticket for the ITX train heading toward Gapyeong Station. (You can also book the ticket in advance from their website).
Once you arrive at Gapyeong Station, you can take the taxi which costs around 4000 won, or the Gapyeong Tourist Bus, which costs around 8000 won, also known as the Gapyeong City Tour Bus, to the Nami Island ferry terminal. The cost for the Gapyeong Tourist Bus also allows you to travel to nearby attractions like Petite France, Garden of Morning Calm, etc.
When you arrive at the ferry terminal, you can purchase a ticket at the counter for the ferry to Nami Island. The ferry departs from the terminal every 15-20 minutes and the ride takes around 10-15 minutes.
The fee for admission into Nami Island and the round-trip ferry ride are:
Adult (18 yrs – 69 yrs): 16,000 won
Senior (70 yrs and above): 13,000 won
Teenager (13 yrs – 17 yrs): 13,000 won
Child (3 yrs – 12 yrs): 10,000 won
Child (Below 3 yrs old): Free

If you are adventurous enough, you might want to take the Skyline Zip-wire option. The journey is about 1 minute and costs around 50 000 won which includes the admission fee to Nami Island. The Zip-wire is one way only, you will need to take the ferry back to the mainland once you are done with Nami Island.
To return to Seoul, simply reverse the process. Take the ferry back to the terminal, the Gapyeong Tourist Bus back to Gapyeong Station, ITX to Cheongnyangni Station or Yongsan Station and then take the subway back to your starting point.

Option 2

Nami Island Shuttle Bus
If you are planning to visit Nami Island and a few other nearby attractions ie. Petite France, Garden of Morning Calm, Alpaca World etc, you may want to consider the return Nami Island Shuttle Bus.
There are 3 pickup locations in Seoul namely: Hongik Univ. Station exit 4, Namsan Yejang Public Parking Lot and Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station exit 10.
This is the bus schedule, please take note to be at the pick-up point for the return trip at the stipulated time so as not to miss the bus.
Option 4
Subway
If you are traveling solo or on a budget, the subway offers you a convenient and affordable mode of transport to Nami Island. Firstly, the subway provides a hassle-free journey, avoiding traffic and offering regular and reliable schedules. Secondly, it is a cost-effective option, saving money compared to other modes of transport.
However, the trade-off is that it requires the longest duration to Nami Island compared to the rest of the modes. If time is on your side, by all means, use the subway and enjoy the picturesque landscapes and scenic views along the way.
