Today, we will be taking the High-Speed Rail from Dali to Lijiang.

Time to board the train.

This is the space for large luggage.

Those with small luggage can either put it in front of them or on the overhead ledge.

Both hot and cold water are provided on board.

There are also washing basins outside the toilets.

I strongly suggest that you buy the tickets with reserved seating.

We arrived at Lijiang Station after a 2-hour-plus journey.

The Homestay 民宿 (mín sù) arranged a driver to pick us up from the station.

Due to the narrow alleys within the Lijiang Old Town, we had to drag our luggage on the cobblestone floor for part of the journey.

Arrived at the entrance of the Homestay MingXuan Ju after 5 minutes. By then, damage had already been done to the wheels of the luggage.

Our unit was on the 2nd Floor, and our beds were opposite each other.

This was the Master Bed.

The single bed.

The washing area was outside the Bathroom and WC. Which is good, as we could do separate things at the same time.

On one side of the bathroom, there was a bathtub.

On the other side, a WC and a standing shower.

At one corner of the room, there was a small table and some chairs.

View of the upper level.

View of the lower level.

As we were staying inside the Old Town, the visit started the moment we stepped out of the Homestay.

The streets get very crowded once night falls.

It seems that grilled Durian is quite popular here.

For dinner, we chose this restaurant V. Sherry, as it has quite good reviews.

Peach gum desserts were immediately served as we sat down.

Yummy!!! We had fish, prawns, chicken soup and eggs with jasmine flowers.
Back to the Homestay to rest after dinner, as we will be going to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain tomorrow. The transport was supposed to pick us up at around 5 am.
