In the morning, we had breakfast facing the snow-covered lake. Nice……….

Our destination for the day was Mount Cook. We stopped at Mt Cook Alpine Salmon for a break and the famous raw salmon.

We bought the 500g version, which cost us 50 NZD. And we had it outdoors.

Finally, we arrived at Mount Cook.

We planned to trek the Hooker Valley Track.

The whole place was covered with snow. The paths were wet and slippery.

The entrance to the trail.

Snow and more white snow everywhere.

There were supposed to be 3 swing bridges along the trail. But they were all closed due to the heavy snowfall. Our trek was cut short.

From Mount Cook, we headed to Tapataia Mahaka Peters Lookout.

Beautiful sight.

Trying to get as close to the water as possible.

Back to The Church Of The Good Shepherd.

The place was quite crowded.

By now, the sun was about to set.

The snow had melted by now.

The view outside our Airbnb.

We prepared a delicious and enjoyable dinner to reward ourselves.

After dinner, we drove near the lake to view the stars. The night sky was covered with stars, the actual view was better on-site.
