We started the day early after a hearty breakfast provided by the hotel. Our rental car came equipped with an ETC card reader and we also bought the fixed-priced Expressway Pass. Whenever we pass through any toll gate on the expressway, we will use the lane specially assigned for cars with ETC cards.

Our first destination today is situated on a small island on the west coast.

After a short walk from the paid car park, we arrived at the famous Heart Rock of Okinawa.

The Heart Rock is a symbol of love and devotion to the locals in Okinawa. Couples often visit the site to declare their love and commitment, believing that by touching the Heart Rock, their bond will be strengthened and their love everlasting.

As we headed to our next destination, we stopped by the Warumi Bridge for pictures.

Arriving at Yaedake Sakuranomori Park, we were greeted by a sea of Sakura flowers everywhere.

Time for lunch, we chose Pizza In The Sky. There were both indoor and outdoor seating to choose from.

We enjoyed the freshly made pizzas and salah bowl very much. And they go well with the Sake we ordered.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium was next. First, we parked our car at P7 parking lot which is free and nearest to the Aquarium.

A local map for the Aquarium.

A big statue of the Whale Shark can be found outside the main entrance.

The entry fee to the Aquarium is 2180 yen per person.

There were many tanks with different colorful fishes on display.

My favorite is this.

And of course, the highlight of the day is the Whale Shark.

There are also 2 timing where you could go up to level 4 and watch the Aquarium from above. Best of all, it’s free.

Look for this lift near the Whale Shark display.

There is also a see-through glass floor area.

This was the place we chose for dinner.

It was a delicious meal.

Before returning to the hotel, we visited one of the many Drug stores available in Okinawa.
